With each candid shot taken in the streets of San José, Costa Rica, Urban Bones grows as a living manifesto of the plethora of transformations that transcend the human form through the wearing of clothing. Personal style is constructed by all of the stories that make us who we are; it is one of our most direct imprints of perception, empathy and communication. And that’s where Urban Bones finds its raison d'être: in the search for individuality and the ways that it can open the door for visual treasures hidden around the people of our city.
Two curious and agile gazes blend with each other for the capturing and recollection of these images: Álvaro Arroyo and Juan Tribaldos are the duo behind this project, which is really a scavenger hunt for fresh ideas and personalities expressed through everyday clothing.
